The Challenge

The battle between Internet providers continued to intensify. Speeds were increasing, prices were decreasing. And consumers saw little difference between the suppliers when it came to choosing a service. We needed to stand out and deliver our message in a memorable if we were to come out top of mind in the consideration process.

 

The Solution

Our approach was to get Western Canadians to understand the feeling of breaking free from the shackles of Internet data limits. And there was only one solution within the classic TELUS brand platform. Cue a few of Canada’s favourite TELUS critters doing their best shakey-face for an eye-catching and highly entertaining 360 campaign.

The Results

The campaign was recalled at a far higher rate than Ipsos norms, with 64% of our audience having seen at least one element of the campaign. Meanwhile, we saw a 14% lift in consideration for TELUS Internet by those who saw the campaign and ultimately drove over 30,000 RGUs.

Boost Wi-Fi

 

The Challenge

What good is the best internet connection if you don’t have the Wi-Fi to support it?

Every home is different in its size, shape and construction, which can impact Wi-Fi signals. Our challenge was to position TELUS Boost Wi-Fi as the solution to this common problem, without disparaging the base Wi-Fi router that was included as standard with TELUS Internet.

 

The Solution

Keeping within the classic TELUS brand platform, we captured the very essence of the product benefit with our friendly and charming puffer fish. This charming chap was rolled out across a complete 360 campaign, while an informative Danny video helped bring real-world context.

The Results

The campaign boosted loading by 37% month-on-month. Meanwhile, we saw a 16% lift in consideration for TELUS Internet by those who saw the campaign.
