Paradigm-breaking Healthcare

 

The Challenge

Canada might be famous for having affordable healthcare, but affordable doesn’t mean accessible. Prior to the launch of Babylon by TELUS Health, only 8% of Canadians have had a virtual consultation with a doctor. The rest of us endured the weeks of waiting for an opening, the long line ups and limited availability, for an in-person appointment.

 

The Solution

Babylon was going to radically transform the Canadian healthcare experience, making it easier and more convenient to see a doctor. But we also had to make it feel human so it didn’t lose the compassion of a face-to-face interaction. To that end, the campaign comprised a film telling the charming story of a young daughter caring for her mother, while a suite of assets utilizing the classic TELUS brand platform, unpacked the wider benefits.

The Results

This campaign lead to Babylon becoming the top of mind virtual healthcare service in Canada, lifted unaided awareness to 25%, increased consideration of the app by 29%, and exceeded download targets by 40%, with over half a million downloads.
